For our parents' 22nd wedding anniversary, we drove to north of Manila to visit White Rock at Subic. It's a convenient place to run to because it's just 3-4 hours away especially now that SCTEX is already present although sometimes, it can really get pretty crowdy at Subic because of all the deals and shopping you can do there (a must visit too!) We were really lucky because it was January then and the beach was not too crowded at that time. The place is really huge and there was a lot of construction going on during our visit, mostly of additional rooms. Here are unpublished photos from the trip!
It has I think about 2 wave pools, a lap pool, a jacuzzi pool, one for the kids plus a beach which gives you so many options to choose from. The people there were so accommodating! They even gave us a tour around the resort plus everyone greets you with their sweet smiles!
A must try are these 2 slides, the big bowl and the other one (forgot what its called) One that requires guts to try but it was really fun!

I would really go back to this place for a quick getaway. The prices may be a bit higher than our budget friendly spontaneous getaways but it was really worth it! Good staff, good food, nice place. Plus the sunsets are so nice too! And there are so many activities you can do inside the resort!
